Aaron Lopez

ABOUT

Aaron Lopez is a graduate of Nashua High School (1996-1998) and Rivier University (1999-2003).  As an All State high school basketball player, Aaron had many offers to different schools but decided to go to Northeastern University on a scholarship from Oprah Winfrey. After 1 year at NU and not being able to afford staying at Northeastern without a full basketball scholarship, Aaron decided to transfer to a school where he can receive his education, play the game that he loves, and not have to pay the high price tag of a college education.  As a walk on transfer to Rivier University, he became one of 13 players to score over 1000 points for his career. He led his team to 4 straight conference playoff appearances and was named to the All Great Northeast Athletic Conference Team 3 out of 4 years.  He was also named All New England twice and currently holds school records for steals and assists.  After college he started his coaching career as an assistant at Rivier University and then moved on to coaching kids where he felt he was most needed.  He was recently a coach for the Nashua Nighthawks and helped assist for the D.C. BlueDevils AAU team.
